I'm a software engineer at McLaren Racing. I work on the platforms that move real-time data between the car, the garage, and the factory, and on the simulator-control systems used by Vehicle Dynamics and Driver-in-Loop.
Before McLaren I spent six years at CGI, building full-stack systems for UK public-safety programmes. Long-lived software where reliability mattered more than novelty. Motorsport is a different shape of pressure: shorter cycles, faster iteration, work measured against the race calendar.
Outside work I'm usually with family, or playing something. League of Legends most often, though I'm not sure it counts as unwinding.
